Each year the Rotary Club of Seminole gathers volunteers at the Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay to participate as volunteers for the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Senior Golf Tournament. This particular event is one of our clubs' largest fund raising events.

The club is responsible for all "ecology activities" at this event.(translation, we dispose of all garbage). This is a huge undertaking, requiring 125 volunteer days (approximately 1000 volunteer hours) to properly accomplish this task.

Obviously it's not all work and no play for our volunteers. We manage to have a good time and to occasionally even see some great golf. All this, and a check for $13,000.00 from the 2006 event.
